This is a successful story on converting a small outdated house into an insta-friendly and modern looking rental house. The challenge is ,with no doubt, to utilize all the space we can have to create sustainable living spaces. For two of the small bedrooms, the designer is able to think out side of the box by adding the spiral stairs into the room so the basement space can be accessed to create loft style living. This idea helped the owner to generate more than half of the rental income as three en-suites are fitted into the bungalow.
The original bungalow is in really bad shape. All the surface needs to be upgraded. Below is a sneak peak of before.
With tight budget, kitchen is upgraded with new cabinet and stainless steels appliances. Hardwood looking Vinyl floor is used in kitchen to promote sustainability in the long term.

The spiral stairs converts the boring bedroom space into insta-liked loft living space. It connects to the basement area which originally was used for storage; extra plumbing work makes it into a washroom with stand-up showers; a walking in closet is also added to improve living quality.
